What to Expect as a UX/UI Specialist at Preferred by Nature: In this role, you’ll play a critical part in enhancing our digital presence by creating user-centric designs, conducting user research, and translating concepts into compelling visual experiences. Your work will not only improve user satisfaction but also contribute to our commitment to sustainability.
As a UX/UI Specialist, your adaptability and passion for sustainability will be valuable assets in your first year. Here’s a glimpse of what’s ahead:
Within the first three months, you will:
- Successfully navigate the onboarding process, assimilate into the organization’s culture, and grasp the IT infrastructure.
- Establish rapport with key stakeholders, understand their pain points, and elicit expectations for existing and upcoming systems, including intranet developments.
- Conduct a thorough analysis of the current CRM, SharePoint, and UX/UI framework. Utilize insights to formulate a comprehensive blueprint for intranet improvement.
Within the first six months, you will:
- Implement enhanced UX/UI designs for existing systems based on feedback and user research.
- Execute the SharePoint Intranet design, aligning it with organizational needs.
- Optimize the SharePoint library system to enhance document retrieval and data sharing. Fully execute the SharePoint Intranet design, ensuring it’s customized to the organization’s requirements, integrating desired features, and delivering an optimal user experience.
Within the first year you will:
- Explore innovative technologies and methodologies for enhancing UX/UI design processes.
- Lead the development of supplementary tools, emphasizing the expansion of SharePoint functionalities.
- Create a robust UX/UI framework to accommodate future software and platform adoptions within the company.
Important that you:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or similar in Computer Science, Design, or a related field.
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in UX/UI design, with Salesforce experience considered an asset.
- Have advanced expertise in Salesforce and SharePoint.
- Demonstrate proficiency in UX/UI design software such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
- Have familiarity with front-end development technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Bring experience working with version control systems like Git.
- Showcase a strong portfolio demonstrating your expertise in UX/UI design.
- Exhibit exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, crucial for this role.
Would also be great, if you:
- Possess a strong passion for sustainability and the mission of Preferred by Nature, especially in the context of working within an NGO.
- Have proven ability to work cross-functionally.
