We are looking for a Total Rewards Director that will establish Reward best practices, and implement global benefits to help us attract the best global talent and promote fairness and equality amongst the team.

Total Rewards Director responsibilities include the design and implementation of our Total Rewards Strategy, from determining how Hopin positions itself in the market, designing and implementing a structured Job Architecture, benchmarking pay ranges, global benefits and Equity plans, through to introducing annual cycle reward programs.

Ultimately, you will build fair and attractive compensation and benefits plans that help us improve employee satisfaction and create an equitable and productive workplace.


  • A key member of the People leadership team, representing Total Rewards, but also contributing to the evolution of our overall People Strategy
  • Determine both our Reward philosophy and Reward strategy
  • Implement a job architecture, including standard job descriptions for all roles and levels
  • Design compensation packages and bonus programs that align with the company’s strategic goals
  • Ensure salaries and benefits are fair, equitable and attract and retain the best talent in the market; comply with local legislation regarding human rights and pay equity
  • Identify trends and implement new practices to engage and motivate employees
  • Review existing stock plans and advise on how these should evolve as the company continues to scale
  • Engage external partners and consult with internal employees to implement programs that will lead to improved employee satisfaction and engagement
  • Manage compensation plans with monetary and non-monetary benefits based on market best practice and employee needs
  • Keep track of prevailing pay rates and make sure we offer competitive compensation plans
  • Structure compensation in ways that will yield the highest value for the organization
  • Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of employee benefit programs
  • Track compensation and benefits benchmarking data

About you

  • Significant experience in all areas of Total Rewards, with 3+ years in a  leadership position
  • Experience in a tech startup, scale-up experience is a plus
  • Ability to develop strong relationships, influence and work with executive level leadership
  • Experience preparing board level comp material
  • Deep knowledge of building compensation packages and bonus programs across Sales and Non Sales for all levels of seniority across different regions
  • Experience of implementing Job Architectures with an excellent understanding of job evaluation and job analysis
  • Experience benchmarking and implementing benefits across multiple countries
  • Experience with both pre and post IPO stock programs
  • Exceptional analytical skills
  • BSc in Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology, Finance or relevant field is preferred
