We’re looking for an experienced Technical Writer with a passion for technology and a flair for writing clear concise technical documentation. This is an exciting role for a technical writer who likes to work with engineering teams, has a startup mentality, is adaptable, and boasts a get-it-done approach to execution.

You will be responsible for crafting technical documentation and instructional material aimed at multiple user personas for a new payment processing and management platform.

  • Develop and write technical documentation and infographics
  • Write clear and concise payment API documentation for the integration partners and external developer audience
  • Create and develop tutorials and process flows to help developers get up to speed
  • Collaborate with design to build and develop illustrative diagrams
  • Build a suite of scripted response emails for support
  • Understand technical design documents and use them as source material for documentation projects
  • Identify audiences for content and anticipate the questions and needs to be addressed (FAQs, knowledge centre, etc)
  • Draft, maintain and edit content for release notes and release publications
  • Validate information and work with cross-functional teams to ensure technical accuracy and quality standards
  • Use community feedback to prioritise and improve our documentation
  • Manage deliverables by collaborating with team members to estimate project scope, gather data, track milestones, communicate progress and mitigate risks
  • Increase your product knowledge and stay updated with platform and policy changes
  • Learn and test product functionality while simultaneously writing documentation
  • A desire to simplify and iterate
  • Quick to understand new technologies and communicate their inherent complexities in a simple, straightforward fashion
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Curious and inquisitive with a structured and independent approach to completing your assignments
  • 3-5 years of technical writing experience
  • A relevant degree; Communications or Engineering being desirable
  • Critical understanding of content reuse across a wide range of products and content offerings and version control systems.
  • In-depth understanding of and experience with a variety of API methodologies (REST, GraphQL) and various other tools and technologies
  • Ability to understand complex technical workflows in an Agile-based development environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in clear written form
  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to build relationships with team members in different geographies and teams
