Ramped is a platform dedicated to helping individuals with their job search. We are building the job board of the future. Our website provides AI Tools to help job seekers build their resume, write cover letters, automatically fill job applications, and more. We are focused on assisting job seekers save time and find the career of their dreams.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Design Execution: Utilize Figma to develop comprehensive wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs. You should be adept at incorporating user feedback and usability findings to iterate and refine designs, ensuring the end product meets the highest standards of usability and aesthetic appeal.
  • UX/UI Balance: Demonstrate strong skills in both user experience and user interface design. While it’s acceptable to have a preference towards either UX or UI, you must be comfortable and capable of taking a design from concept through to a production-ready stage.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to convey design ideas effectively, ensuring alignment with project objectives. Your ability to articulate design choices and collaborate on solutions is critical.
  • User-Centered Design: Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights, identify pain points, and understand user needs. Use this information to inform and guide your design decisions, with a focus on improving user experience.
  • Innovation and Trends: Stay updated on the latest UI/UX trends, best practices, and competitor activities. Apply this knowledge to innovate and maintain a competitive edge in our digital products.
  • Toolkit Proficiency: Work within our existing UI kit and component library, ensuring consistency and efficiency in design. Your ability to adapt and creatively use these resources is essential.

Requirements

  • 3-7 years of experience in UI/UX design, specifically for B2C web applications.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in design and a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in Figma for creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
  • Excellent command of the English language, with strong communication skills.
  • A passion for delivering visually appealing and functionally superior digital products.
  • Comfortable conducting user research and usability testing.
  • A proactive approach to staying informed about UI/UX trends and applying them creatively.

About The Job:

  • Hours: up to 20/week
  • Work Environment: This is a fully remote role. You will be able to collaborate with team-members, but most of your work will be completed independently. You will be required to join a 15min team standup two times per week and update your tickets in our project management tool.
  • Flexibility: You will have the flexibility to work when you want/need to work as long as you are getting your tasks done on time.
