As a Sales Training Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the sales team in enhancing their skills and performance. Leveraging your background as a successful salesperson and high-level business acumen, you will design and deliver impactful training programs. Your responsibilities will include developing engaging content, conducting assessments, providing individual coaching, and collaborating with sales and marketing teams to align training initiatives with business objectives.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Design, implement, and facilitate comprehensive sales training programs for new and existing sales team members
  • Provide one-on-one coaching to sales team members, offering personalized feedback and strategies for improvement
  • Manage and curate onboarding and ongoing learning paths
  • Create engaging content that covers product knowledge, sales techniques, negotiation skills, and customer relationship management
  • Conduct assessments to identify sales team training needs and areas for improvement
  • Analyze sales performance data to measure the effectiveness of training initiatives
  • Manage training and enablement technology
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align training initiatives with business goals
  • Work closely with senior sales training specialist and sales leaders to address specific issues and support people’s professional development

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience as a Sales Trainer or in a similar role
  • Passion for training and development
  • Comfort working in a remote environment
  • Understanding of eLearning and Adult Learning theories
  • Experience in managing, delivering, and reviewing training
  • Experience as salesperson
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of market dynamics in various industries.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse audiences
  • Ability to analyze data and translate it into actionable insights for sales improvement
  • Certification in sales training or related fields is a plus
  • Previous experience in B2B SaaS Sales is beneficial, but not a requirement
