Mattermost is seeking an experienced Product Manager who is passionate about creating seamless buyer experiences for our customers, and thrives at the intersection of analytics, UX design, product management, sales operations, and product marketing to accelerate product-led growth. You will lead all self-serve transaction experiences – including purchase, expansion and renewal – and help improve overall GTM efficiency that enables rapid growth at scale.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical, analytical, and product background who is constantly identifying user problems and thinking critically about which to prioritize. You know how to measure and interpret the results of your team’s efforts; can effectively navigate complex systems and communicate product requirements to both engineering and non technical teams; love working on teams, side-by-side with the best engineers and designers; and easily manage several projects at once without missing deadlines

Responsibilities:

      • Own the end-to-end buyer journey, in partnership with engineering, analytics, UX design, product management, product marketing and sales operations.
      • Work with developers and designers to automate the self-served customer journey. Includes optimizing self-serve credit card transactions via the customer portal for first-time purchase, renewal, and expansion experiences, with both Mattermost Cloud subscriptions and Mattermost Self-Hosted licensing management.
      • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, and use it to shape product roadmap and team objectives.
      • Prioritize effectively maintaining a laser focus on high impact work that drives improvement on product KPIs.
      • Analyze data to determine if shipped features and experiments had the desired impact.
      • Communicate self-service product initiatives, strategy and output metrics, and updates across all stakeholders and teams with high attention to detail.
For the right candidate, we may expand the scope of this role to also include acting as the key product interface for our data and billing system, including requirements gathering from cross-functional stakeholders and collaboration with the data engineering team on problem definition and prioritization.

Required Background/Skills:

    • Product management experience working on B2B collaboration products; ideally in SaaS and product-led growth environments.
    • Effective communicator, with the ability to converse at both a technical and business level.
    • Highly-detail-oriented with strong organizational skills; balancing multiple projects, deadlines, and requests should be second nature.
    • Strong analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision making.
    • Comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment where you are prepared to initiate and thrive in change.
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to navigate complex challenges by aligning internal and external stakeholders on a common goal.
