Rythm is a music tech startup on a mission to bring people together through music and we’re searching for our first marketing hire to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to be the architect of our marketing strategy, crafting the message that will resonate with Gen Z music lovers. This role reports to the Co-Founder and CEO of Rythm and works closely with the executive team, the community team, and the content team. The salary range for this position is $80k-$150k to start.

You’ll be a one-person marketing force, owning the entire marketing lifecycle from strategy to execution. Get ready to roll up your sleeves, dive deep into the music and gaming landscape, and create innovative campaigns that drive user acquisition and retention, brand awareness, and ultimately, success.


  • Marketing Strategy and Execution: Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns across various channels (social media, content marketing, influencer marketing, etc.) to drive user acquisition, brand awareness, and engagement.
  • Product Marketing: Develop a comprehensive product marketing strategy that positions our offering as the go-to solution in our space.
  • Messaging: Craft compelling messaging across all channels that resonates with our target audience and effectively communicates our value proposition.
  • Content Creation: Collaborate with our content team to develop engaging content (social media content, etc.) that educates, entertains, and inspires our target audience.
  • Growth, Retention, and CRM: Analyze marketing performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and iterate on campaigns for maximum impact. Develop and implement strategies to retain existing users and re-engage lapsed users. Own, manage, and maintain, our CRM system.
  • PR: Work with our PR team to coordinate our communications across channels, building brand awareness and generating positive press coverage.
  • Community: Collaborate with our community team to cultivate a vibrant online community around our brand and product.
  • Trends: Keep a pulse on the ever-evolving music, gaming, and tech landscape and identify new marketing opportunities.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with executives, product, engineering, and design teams to ensure all marketing efforts are aligned with the overall product vision.


  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in a tech startup environment.
  • A strong understanding of our target audience, Gen Z gamers.
  • Proven success in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns across various channels using CRM systems
  • Excellent communication, writing, and storytelling skills.
  • Data-driven approach with a knack for analyzing marketing performance metrics and using insights to optimize campaigns.
  • A passion for music and the ability to translate complex features into engaging marketing messages for our target audience.
  • A self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
