Bon Education is a program design and consulting company. We work with leaders and their organizations to build learning programs and content that create empowerment, engagement and impact for youth, professionals and communities.

Our client list includes Google, Microsoft, CISCO, Mubadala, Emirates NBD, Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation, ADNOC, government offices, foundations and others.

II. Seeking full- and part-time learning experience designers

Your job will be to create virtual and in-person learning programs, learning materials and interactive experiences that inspire, invoke deep curiosity and expose youth and young adults to multiple industries, ideas and career paths.

III. Location

This role is 100% virtual. Ideally you will be located within a 9-hour time zone of Dubai. We are open to candidates in the USA (as long as you are based on the East Coast and willing to wake up early for calls with our Middle East team).

IV. As part of the team, you will…

  • Be called upon to design and author a wide range of things: programs, curriculum materials (facilitator guides, participant-facing content), website content, games, learning materials, presentation decks and occasionally reports.
  • Work with our Creative Director, the Bon team and clients to design and deliver high-impact programs.
  • Be exposed to and involved with all aspects of our program design projects: research, inspiration gathering, brainstorming, concept development, prototyping, content creation and delivery.
  • Create programs that excite youth and young adults about industry.
  • Help out across the team when and as needed.

V. How you will spend your time

  • 60% independent content research, design and development
  • 20% collaborative creative ideation, team and client meetings
  • 10% data analysis, documentation, reporting
  • 10% wild card (observing our programs, analogous inspiration, other)

VII. Relevant experience and mindset

  • Learning design craft: You bring a wide range of experiences designing learning programs and content for museums, events, corporates, schools and/or other learning contexts.
  • Language: You are fluent in English and write at a native level of proficiency.
  • Career aspirations: You are looking for a role and clients that will challenge your curiosity. You know that you want to pursue a career in learning design that enables you to design learning experiences for multiple contexts (largely outside of schools).
  • Culture: You are comfortable working in an ambiguous and dynamic environment with tight deadlines and multiple clients.
  • Technical skills: You must be comfortable working with Adobe Suite and willing to rapidly learn and explore new and emerging technologies as and when needed.
  • Visual design skills: You must be comfortable not just with the written word, but working on the visual look and feel of content (aesthetics, alignment to client brand guidelines, etc.).
  • Education, skills and work experience: You hold an undergraduate and/or graduate degree in a relevant field (design, museum studies, education, etc.). You already know how to research, ideate, prototype and create polished learning materials. You have at least 3-5 years of relevant learning design experience.
  • Working style: You are extremely detail oriented and Type A when it comes to creating engaging and beautifully designed content. You know how to take direction from others, as well as come up with creative ideas on your own.
