Job Purpose and Overview:

Appfire is looking for a strategic and dynamic Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our People team. The HRBP will serve as a partner to an assigned departmen’s management on human resource-related issues, acting as an employee champion and change agent. The successful candidate will formulate partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization, specifically within the fast-paced and ever-evolving software development environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Strategic HR Partnership: Collaborate with the senior management of the assigned department to develop and implement an HR agenda that supports business goals, with a focus on aligning HR initiatives with department needs. Provide expert advice and coaching to leaders on HR matters.
  • Talent Management: Drive the talent management strategy, including workforce planning, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Employee Relations: Address complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough investigations and providing resolution recommendations. Act as a mediator to resolve conflicts and ensure a positive work environment within the assigned department
  • Performance Management: Guide the performance review process, ensuring alignment with organizational  objectives. Provide coaching to managers and employees on performance-related issues.
  • Learning and Development: Supporting leaders in Identifying training needs and liaising with the Learning Experience Team to develop programs to enhance employee skills and career growth. Support leadership development initiatives tailored for IT leaders.
  • Change Management: Lead and support organizational change initiatives, ensuring effective communication and minimizing resistance,
  • Compliance: Ensure HR policies and practices comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Keep abreast of changes in employment law and update policies as necessary.

What We Would Like to See:

  • Education
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or any other related field.
  •  Experience
    • 5+ years of working experience preferably working in HR and minimum 2 years of experience like HR Business Partner
    • Vast, demonstrated knowledge of relevant labor laws and practices.
    • Demonstrated success in influencing senior management and departmental heads into the adoption of people management policies and procedures.
    • Solid problem-solving experience leading to lasting employee relations solutions within a business.
  • Communication
    • Exceptionally communication skills to effectively execute duties.
    • Experienced in facilitating smooth and effective communication between senior management, departmental heads, and management, stakeholders, business partners
    • Comfortable with drawing up reports, presentations, and recommendations for various departments within the business.
  • Analytical
    • Passion and skill for drawing actionable insights from raw information and data.
    • Capable of performing standard analyses on existent people management policies and programs and drawing actionable solutions, identifying areas of improvement, and drawing detailed recommendations from those assessments
  • Interpersonal
    • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    • Able to be discreet when dealing with confidential information.
    • Helpful and service-oriented with a keen eye for detail.
    • Self-motivated and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • People
    • Eager to quickly build rapport and strong connections with others to gain trust.
    • Able to influence even the highest level of management in the business.
