Overview

At Bitrise, we’re improving the way mobile products are developed and deployed for thousands of customers around the world. Many of those customers have signed up, evaluated and purchased Bitrise unassisted, and continue to grow on the product with minimal need for hands-on support.
We’re looking for an experienced Content Writer to join the Content team within Growth who will help create world-class content to be read by the mobile teams making some of the most popular apps in the world. The projects will be varied, with no two days the same, and while the focus is on written content — such as blog posts and whitepapers — you will also contribute to other formats such as videos and podcasts.
This is a great role for a content writer with at least 3-5 years of B2B tech experience. Someone who is always looking for new opportunities, sees new ideas everywhere they look, and who is passionate about experimentation and continuous improvement. While there will be plenty of strategic thinking and planning, this role is perfect for those who love to write above all else!
Along the way, you’ll see tremendous growth in the company, customers, and your personal career, as you develop a deep — and marketable — understanding of the particular context we operate in: rapidly scaling SaaS, but more specifically, developer tooling, mobile engineering, and all the quirks and peculiarities associated with that.

Key Responsibilities

    • Develop written content for all areas of the business, with a focus on content supporting the Growth team.
    • Work to briefs written by others as well as develop content ideas and initiatives autonomously.
    • Ensure that content is aligned with the Bitrise brand and tone-of-voice guidelines, and is produced with a clear audience in mind.
    • Speak to people from outside the business, such as developers and DevOps practitioners, to gather their expert opinions and insights to develop new content.
    • Manage the blog editorial calendar, ensuring that schedules are kept to (or rearranged), working with many other contributors and stakeholders.
    • Support with the improvement and documentation of content processes, such as guides to regularly recurring activities or editorial guidelines.
    • Upload and prep content for the website. This means going beyond editing and proofing to optimizing content for the web.
    • While we have SEO experts in the team, you’ll need to jump into Ahrefs to do some keyword research when required.
    • Delve into the performance of content, using Google Analytics and other tools, and strive to continuously improve and refine.
    • Work with and coordinate content production with external resources, such as agencies and freelancers, when required.

Key Skills

    • You’re able to think like a publisher, by ideating, producing, and sourcing content that “does what it needs to” for the business, but also connects to its audience.
    • 3-5+ years of content writing experience, or equivalent.
    • Excellent written communication skills, with a proven ability to tweak style and tone to a technical audience.
    • A strong eye for detail — particularly when proofing or editing work from others, you’ll need to be able to spot erroneous punctuation or spellings that don’t match our house style.
    • Experience working with a range of B2B content formats, including e-books and research-driven whitepapers.
    • The ability to engage with the more technical aspects of content creation, such as Google Analytics (you will already know your way around GA to discover how content is performing) and SEO (you will know how to conduct keyword research and optimize content in a natural way).
    • Experience co-creating content with customers and partners.
    • Organizational skills — we’re a rapidly scaling org with many moving parts. The speed required means you’re able to optimize your time for impact.
    • Flexibility: we’re a relatively small team, so we all get the chance to contribute to a wide range of areas, many of which may ordinarily be outside of your day-to-day. And while we have a clear direction, the route we take can change on a regular basis as we continue to experiment.
    • A curiosity about (mobile) software development. You don’t need to be an expert, but you’ll spend a lot of time talking about release trains, build infrastructure, and Mobile DevOps.

How to really knock our socks off

    • Experience in developer tooling.
    • Experience in SaaS.
    • Experience in rapidly scaling companies.
    • Familiarity with software development practices like DevOps, Agile, etc.

What we offer

      • Accelerated learning, and a commitment to invest in your personal growth and development in the form of courses, conferences, book allowance, and more.
      • A massive amount of freedom and trust while your contributions help shape and grow Bitrise for years to come.
      • The opportunity to play a role in the mobile development process for the world’s most successful companies.
      • The security of working in a financially stable, growing company with an ever-expanding global customer base.
